TabTrade — What It Is
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, an New Zealand-regulated broker.
That last detail tells you something. It means the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same data centres prime brokers run on. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.
The Software
You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.
MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, it is familiar territory.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people find it more natural after using both.
FIX API is offered for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That should make the platform set when it lands.
Accounts and Pricing
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Easy to track. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade has no minimum.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Infrastructure
This is the thing Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Under 30ms on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. The average platform quote a much wider range.
Does this affect you? If you scalp, it does. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says something about priorities.
Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get holds up. Few brokers with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Now, the detail that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether the trade-off works comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
Tab Trade runs a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before you commit.
